February Game Day

14th February 2026

Playing with Pride
A celebration of LGBTQIA+ History
On this internationally recognised day of love - we bestow our love as we invite one and all to join us for our upcoming event celebrating LGBTQIA+ History Month - with special guests from Oban Pride.
RookHart is proud and humbly honoured to do what we can as LGBTQIA+ allies to support, safeguard and offer sanctuary to anyone who may need a calm and friendly space to feel safe in - regardless of any life background. Joining us to reach and welcome as many people we can who respect our core value of creating a fully open & inclusive community of our own for all to enjoy.
As usual, we look forward to offering a great array of games. Because of this special month, we’ve highlighted a great assortment of games celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community and from/about LGBTQIA+ History (some of which being about LGBTQIA+ Icons throughout history). We’ll have games created by people from the LGBTQIA+ community and info about their journeys. Featured in this month’s poster is the amazingly engaging and insightful game of ‘Molly House’ by Wehrlegig Games. A game which puts players in the setting of Georgian London at a time where the secret sanctuaries for the LGBTQIA+ community were held in hidden venues called ‘Molly Houses’ - which is what the game is set around.
Some members of Oban Pride will join us and are available to provide information on how to get involved with them, support services, understanding the community better and also enjoying boardgames with us.
And though the history of the LGBTQIA+ community is full of harrowing lived experiences, it can also be defined by its will to survive, to safeguard those in danger and taking no shame in standing by the shared truth that no matter what scale of erasure is forced upon the community, the world will always have LGBTQIA+ people in it.
